Cascadia Crits' vision is to bring the best possible experience for the sponsors, local communities, spectators and racers in the Puget Sound region. We have selected courses that illustrate the beauty of the Puget Sound area and its neighborhoods which we reside. Every course represents different levels of difficulty and will require solid bike handling skills, experienced team tactics and personal determination to win on any given afternoon.
The 2010 schedule kicks off in the downtown communities of Woodinville and Fremont. This Memorial Day weekend racers will experience multi corner courses allowing spectators to feel the rush of wind as bikes pass them at nearly 30 miles per hour in the downtown corridors of these small communities.
Next up is the oldest of courses in our lineup; The Seward Park Classic. This course is situated on the southern end of Lake Washington in the older Seward Park neighborhood and has been host to weekly Thursday night races for the past 15 yrs. This course is great for racers and spectators alike to have a summer BBQ and watch some great racing around the park.
The weekend is here and it’s reserved for the classics. Ballard Twilight and Brad Lewis Memorial Crit (formerly Boat St Crit), both favorites for racers and fans alike, have been on the circuit for 10 plus years. Both of these courses exemplify the high speeds of NASCAR and the required bike handling skills of a pro to be winner at either of these events.
Lastly after three weekends of tough racing our final event is upon us. In its first year the Tacoma Twilight Criterium will prove to be a challenging course which will require the focus and determination to gather those final points to rise up on podium that evening with a winners trophy presented by Michelob Ultra!
